Eramet Seeks New Investors for Capital Hike
The French mining group Eramet is exploring talks with new investors to support its upcoming 500 million euro capital increase. This move aims to shore up cash.
The French mining group ERAMET is exploring the possibility of bringing in new investors as part of a planned 500 million euro ($585 million) capital increase. This strategic move, intended for the second half of the year, aims to stabilize the company's financial position following a period of declining earnings and rising debt levels.
Based in France, the producer of nickel, manganese, and lithium first announced its intention to raise capital and divest assets in February. In its latest first-quarter sales statement, the company confirmed that discussions may be held with potential third-party investors who are interested in participating in the upcoming equity issuance. The capital hike remains subject to approval at the annual shareholder meeting scheduled for next month.
