Eni Approves Third Phase of Ivory Coast Baleine Project
Eni and its partners Petroci and Vitol have reached a final investment decision for the third phase of the Baleine field in Ivory Coast. This four billion dollar expansion aims to increase oil production to 150,000 barrels per day and boost domestic gas supply within the next three years.
ENI SPA and its partners approved a $4 billion investment for the third phase of the Baleine project in Ivory Coast. The expansion will more than double current hydrocarbon output from the country’s largest discovery. This move secures long-term energy infrastructure for West Africa while scaling Eni’s regional production footprint.
### Boosting Output at Baleine Phase 3 will increase oil production, rising to 150,000 barrels per day from the current 60,000. Gas output is also set to rise to 200 million cubic feet per day from 80 million. Eni told Reuters the project is expected to come online within 32 to 36 months.
