Corteva targets fourth quarter for split into two firms
U.S. agrichemical firm Corteva expects to separate its seed and pesticide units this year. Leadership and headquarters details are due in the first half of 2026.
Corteva, Inc.[Symbol:{ "assets":{ "symbol":"CTVA" } }] has announced that it expects its planned separation into two independent, listed companies to be completed during the fourth quarter of this year. The United States[Country:{ "assets":{ "country":"US" } }]-based agrichemicals provider previously detailed its strategy to decouple its seed and crop protection businesses to sharpen its market focus.

Speaking at the BofA Global Agriculture and Materials Conference, CEO Chuck Magro stated that the company will announce the headquarters, senior leadership teams, and the chief executive for the new entity in the first half of the year. Management expressed confidence in the future of the crop protection industry, noting steady growth in demand and the potential for further consolidation.
"We're seeing strong demand, essentially around the world, but there's going to be some continued headwinds, in price, but volume should more than offset it," a senior executive noted during the conference.
Corteva also highlighted that positive policy momentum in the domestic market could provide significant benefits. These developments are expected to support the soybean market as well as the production of canola and mustard.
