CDhas formally presented a shortlist of state-owned mineral assets, including manganese , copper-cobalt , gold , and lithium projects, to American investors through a newly established Joint Steering Committee. This move represents the first tangible step in operationalizing a minerals partnership between the United States
USand Congo, aimed at providing U.S. investors with direct access to Congo's critical mineral resources.
The asset shortlist, delivered to U.S. officials last week, includes several high-value projects. Among them are the Kisenge manganese, gold, and cassiterite licenses; the Mutoshi copper-cobalt project and germanium-processing venture by Gecamines; Sokimo's four gold permits; Cominiere's lithium licenses; and Sakima's coltan, gold, and wolframite assets. These projects are held by state-owned companies such as Gecamines, Sokimo, and Cominiere.
