European freight truck manufacturers are preparing for a significant influx of low-cost competitors from China this year. Following the path established by electric passenger vehicles, these new entrants threaten to disrupt the established market with superior technology and aggressive pricing. Industry analysts have identified several manufacturers, including the electric vehicle giant BYD Company Limited, SANY HEAVY INDUSTRY CO LTD-H, and Sinotruk (Hong Kong) Limited, as well as startups like Windrose and SuperPanther, all of which are planning to expand their footprint in Europe by 2026.
