Zheng Shanjie, head of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), met with seven state-owned enterprise (SOE) executives on Tuesday to accelerate energy security and industrial reform. The symposium marks a rare shift in focus for the state planner, which previously prioritized meetings with private sector firms.
