China to enact cross-border corruption law this year
China will introduce a law to combat cross-border corruption and update banking regulations this year. The legislature is also researching AI regulations.
China has announced its intention to enact a law this year aimed at combating cross-border corruption. This move is designed to strengthen the national legal framework for anti-corruption oversight, according to a work report from the country's top legislature released on Monday.

The National People's Congress Standing Committee, which serves as the primary lawmaking body within the parliament, will also undertake revisions to laws governing the central bank and banking regulations. These legislative updates were included in the work report submitted for deliberation during the ongoing annual parliamentary meetings in Beijing.
Furthermore, the committee plans to intensify research into legislation regarding artificial intelligence. This focus on AI highlights the government's efforts to keep pace with technological advancements and establish necessary regulatory standards.
