China appoints Ding Xiangqun as top financial regulator
China has officially appointed Ding Xiangqun as minister of the National Financial Regulatory Administration following her recent selection as the regulator's Communist Party chief. ### A Veteran Takes the Helm Ding previously served as the chairperson of the state-owned People's Insurance Company (Group) of China. Her transition to the National Financial Regulatory Administration (NFRA) was confirmed in an official statement on Friday morning.
