China Seeks Stronger Economic and Trade Ties With US
Chinese and U.S. trade officials met in Cameroon to discuss economic cooperation. Minister Wang Wentao raised concerns regarding Section 301 investigations.
China has expressed its willingness to bolster economic and trade cooperation with the United States, according to a statement released by the Chinese Commerce Ministry. The announcement followed a high-level meeting between Commerce Minister Wang Wentao and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer on the sidelines of a World Trade Organization gathering in Cameroon on Thursday.
During the discussions, Wang emphasized that economic and trade relations should serve as the primary engine for the broader relationship between the two global powers. He noted that both nations must effectively manage the balance between competition and cooperation to ensure long-term stability and mutual benefit.
