The Finance Minister of the United Kingdom, Rachel Reeves, stated on Wednesday that it is currently too early to determine the full economic impact of the conflict in the Middle East, though she pledged to do what is possible to soften the blow for consumers. Speaking to lawmakers, Reeves emphasized a cautious approach to the situation.
At this stage I think it would be unwise to speculate on what the impact on inflation, growth or interest rates would be.
