Centrica and Peyto Sign 10-Year Natural Gas Supply Deal
Centrica has secured a 10-year gas supply agreement with Canada's Peyto Exploration and Development for 50,000 million British thermal units per day starting in 2029. The deal links pricing to European benchmarks to help Centrica manage market exposure and optimize its global LNG portfolio.
CENTRICA PLC signed a 10-year supply deal with PEYTO EXPLORATION & DEV CORP for 50,000 million British thermal units of natural gas daily. The agreement starts in 2029 and provides the United Kingdom energy provider with approximately five liquefied natural gas cargoes per year. Pricing for the feed gas will be linked to the European Title Transfer Facility benchmark.
### Linking Canadian Supply to European Benchmarks CENTRICA PLC said this pricing structure enhances its ability to manage market exposure and optimize its global LNG portfolio. By linking to European benchmarks, the company maintains flexibility across international markets. This follows a similar 10-year supply agreement CENTRICA PLC reached with WHITECAP RESOURCES INC in February.
