The state lender Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) has initiated legal action in the Netherlands to block the reappointment of Fabrizio Testa as the chief executive of the Milan Stock Exchange. Sources familiar with the matter indicate that the move is intended to freeze the appointment process ahead of the upcoming shareholder meeting for Euronext N.V., the parent company of the Italian bourse, which is scheduled for May 20.
