Saudi Cafani Group Unit Proposes Capricorn Energy Takeover
Capricorn Energy received all-cash takeover bids from Saudi's Cafani Group. The firm is seeking funding clarity and has granted due diligence access to the suitor.
Capricorn Energy PLC, an oil producer based in the United Kingdom, has received multiple non-binding takeover proposals for a potential all-cash acquisition. The proposals were submitted by Alamadiyaf al-Masiyyah, an investment vehicle linked to the Cafani Group, a private investment firm headquartered in Saudi Arabia. While the specific terms of the offer remain undisclosed, the board of the London-listed company has begun formal evaluations of the bid.
The British firm is currently seeking further clarification regarding the funding arrangements of the Saudi-based investment vehicle. Despite the need for additional financial details, talks between the two parties are continuing. To facilitate the evaluation process, the board has granted the potential acquirer access to its books for due diligence purposes.
