Collins expects Iran war inflation pressures to subside

Boston Fed President Susan Collins told the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday that inflation pressures from the Iran war will eventually subside. Collins noted current price shocks mask evidence that underlying inflation in the United States is trending lower. Collins said the U.S. central bank may need to raise interest rates if inflation pressures do not abate.
