Boeing Net Orders Hit 135 in April as 777X Tests Begin
Boeing booked 135 net orders in April, bringing its yearly total to 284 jets. The company delivered 47 aircraft as the 777-9 passenger jet began flight tests.
The Boeing Company booked 135 net new orders in April, nearly matching its total volume from the first three months of the year. Total year-to-date orders reached 284, the highest four-month volume for the United States manufacturer since 2014. While orders surged, Boeing still trails Airbus, which secured 405 net bookings during the same period.
Boeing delivered 47 jetliners in April, an increase of one unit compared to March. Deliveries remain a critical metric for investors as they trigger the majority of cash payments from customers. Last month's handovers included 34 737 MAX aircraft and six 787 Dreamliners.
