BlackRock Inc. reported fourth-quarter 2025 earnings on Thursday that significantly exceeded Wall Street expectations, bolstered by a surge in market valuations and record-breaking investor demand. The world's largest asset manager reached a historic $14.04 trillion in assets under management at the end of December, a substantial increase from the $11.55 trillion reported exactly one year earlier. This growth was supported by record annual net inflows totaling $698.26 billion for the full year, reflecting a structural shift in investor behavior toward both low-cost index products and higher-margin alternative investments.
For the three months ended December 31, 2025, the firm posted an adjusted net profit of $2.18 billion, or $13.16 per share. This result comfortably beat the analyst consensus estimate of $12.21 per share. Total revenue for the period climbed to $7 billion, surpassing the $6.69 billion anticipated by market observers and up from $5.68 billion in the prior-year quarter. However, growth in the business also brought higher costs, with total expenses rising to $5.35 billion from $3.6 billion a year earlier.
