BofA taps UBS banker Hardegree as vice chair of M&A
Bank of America hired UBS veteran Richard Hardegree as vice chair of mergers and acquisitions to boost its tech dealmaking. He will join the firm in August.
BANK OF AMERICA CORP hired UBS banker Richard Hardegree as vice chair of mergers and acquisitions to lead semiconductor dealmaking. Hardegree brings 30 years of experience to the United States second-largest lender. The move signals a push for tech market share as global deal volumes rise 32% to $2 trillion.
Hardegree will join the bank in August and operate from Palo Alto, California. He will report to Eamon Brabazon and Ivan Farman, the co-heads of global M&A investment banking. A Bank of America spokesperson confirmed the appointment following an internal memo seen late evening Friday.
