Argentina Reports 4.4 Percent Economic Growth for 2025
Argentina's GDP grew 4.4% in 2025 after a contraction in 2024. Agriculture and mining led the recovery while analysts forecast 3.4% growth for the current year.
Argentina's economy recorded an expansion of 4.4% throughout 2025, according to data released by the national statistics agency INDEC on Friday. The figure represents a significant recovery from the previous year, although it fell slightly short of the 4.45% growth anticipated by market analysts. In the fourth quarter of 2025, the gross domestic product of Latin America's third-largest economy grew by 2.1% compared to the same period in 2024. This performance was marginally lower than the 2.2% forecast by economists and showed a deceleration from the 2.6% growth recorded in the fourth quarter of the prior year. On a seasonally-adjusted basis, the economy expanded by 0.6% relative to the third quarter of 2025.
