ADM Increases 2026 Profit Forecast on Biofuel Demand
ADM raised its 2026 profit forecast after beating quarterly earnings estimates on Tuesday. The grain trader cited clarity over U.S. biofuel blending mandates.
ARCHER-DANIELS-MIDLAND CO raised its 2026 profit forecast and beat quarterly earnings estimates following a federal order to increase biofuel blending. The grain trader increased its adjusted earnings guidance to a range of $4.15 to $4.70 per share, up from the previous $3.60 to $4.25 range. The update provides investors with clarity on domestic fuel mandates after months of regulatory uncertainty slowed soybean oil processing.
### Biofuel Mandates Stabilize Earnings Outlook The United States government ordered refiners in March to blend record amounts of biofuels into gasoline and diesel for 2026 and 2027. This regulatory shift resolved a lengthy delay that had previously suppressed demand for feedstocks produced at ADM facilities. Shares in the company rose 1.3% during the morning session following the announcement.
