EU Releases 6.6 Billion Euros for Ukraine Aid

The European Union has agreed to release 6.6 billion euros in military aid funds for Ukraine. The money will support training missions and joint equipment procurement while reimbursing member states.

European Union member states agreed to release €6.6 billion ($7.5 billion) in military aid funds for Ukraine, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said on Friday afternoon. The unfreezing resolves a months-long blockade that had stalled military procurement. The package strengthens European defense support against Russia, Kallas said during the announcement.
