European Union member states agreed to release €6.6 billion ($7.5 billion) in military aid funds for Ukraine, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said on Friday afternoon. The unfreezing resolves a months-long blockade that had stalled military procurement. The package strengthens European defense support against Russia, Kallas said during the announcement.
